Baseball

Our training facility was founded on our love for baseball amongst other sports. Complete with our large multi-use turf field, 2 batting cages, and 2 pitching machines, our facility caters to players of all skill levels and ages.   

 

Our goal is to make you the best of the best with our extensive knowledge in the sport. Dana Duskocy is just one of our skilled professionals here at the Field House.

Dana Duskocy

PFTA is excited to have Dana Duskocy as our head baseball instructor and Sports Administrator.


Dana has played and excelled at numerous levels of sport throughout his career and brings vast
knowledge in all aspects of training. From basic to advanced mechanics, conditioning and the mental
approach, he thrives on passing his knowledge along.

 

Dana has achieved numerous awards while attending school in the USA participating in the NCAA.

 

*2 time All Conference - *2 time All State
*Northeast Regional player of the year
*participant in the NAIA College World Series
*2 time All American

 

During the summer he has played for Toronto and Stratford Hillers of the Intercounty Baseball League.
 

*4 All-Star team selections - *Team MVP for Toronto
*1 League championship with Stratford Hillers

Aside from baseball, Dana was a remarkable goalie. He played his junior career in Seaforth (stopped 98 shots in the Junior D finals) and ended his career with London Nationals junior B.

Kyle Frey

Kyle has played baseball at the university level in both Canada and the United States. He spent three years at Concordia University Ann Arbor (NAIA) in Michigan and another two at York University (OUA) in Toronto where in his second year he was named team captain.

Kyle’s minor baseball career included time with the Stratford Indians, London Badgers, and Can Am Reds. He was an Intercounty All-Star twice and a member of the Cannon Cup Championship team of 2011. In that same year he was named Stratford City Council’s Athlete of the Year.

Kyle’s expertise expands far beyond just the game of baseball. Kyle is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist who has worked with a variety of sports in this type of role including volleyball, field hockey, and hockey. He has even worked with Canada’s National Para Hockey Team. Kyle will be able to apply these skills to aid in the progress of all athletes at PFTA while keeping them healthy and resilient.

Kyle remains an athlete himself competing in the sport of powerlifting, and in the past has participated in both hockey and basketball at the rep level in Stratford.

Lastly, Kyle has a sincere passion for using an all-encompassing approach to enhance the overall development of athletes no matter age, gender, or skill level. He has been doing so for 3+ years within the Stratford Minor Baseball Association as an assistant coach at the mosquito and bantam rep levels.
